Donlen Employee Spotlight: Daniel Wolak, John Wuich, and Tom Bessinger

At Donlen, we strongly believe our employees’ commitment to excellence drives our success. We take pride in hiring and retaining the best and brightest talent in the industry in order to deliver best-in-class service to our customers. This month, we are shining a spotlight on three employees who help us deliver world-class customer service.

Dan Wolak achieves ASE World Class Technician certification

Dan-WolakCongratulations are in order for Dan Wolak, Donlen Contact Center Supervisor, who received Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) World Class Technicians certification from the Auto Care Association. To receive World Class Technician certification in 2016, professional technicians had to test and receive ASE certification in 22 specialty areas during the 2015 test administrated by ASE.

“Recipients of the World Class Technician Award are truly the best of the best and the Auto Care Association is proud to recognize these professionals with ASE,” said Bill Hanvey, president and CEO, Auto Care Association. “Passing 22 ASE tests is a monumental achievement requiring exceptional knowledge and skills.”

Wolak is one out of only 1,914 technicians to have qualified for this prestigious distinction since the Auto Care Association-ASE World Class Technicians Award began in 1986. He has more than nine years of experience providing technical advice to Donlen customers, as well as an associate’s degree in automotive engineering and a bachelor’s degree in automotive management.

“All of us at Donlen are so proud of Dan’s achievement,” said Bill Byrnes, Donlen Vice President, Contact Center Operations. “His experience of more than 15 years in the automotive industry and this specific recognition continue to add world-class expertise to our already existing staff of multiple ASE-certified technicians.”

John Wuich earns NAFA CAFM® certification

Praise is also due to John Wuich, Vice President Strategic Consulting Services, for receiving NAFA Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM®) certification. The industry standard in fleet education, CAFM® certification indicates expert knowledge in fleet management. Donlen is proud to have Wuich’s expertise on our team, as Wuich will be able to provide a higher level of service to our customers with his extensive knowledge of fleet management.

"Fleet is my profession, and this certification offered a chance to improve my knowledge in eight key areas of study," said Wuich."Further, I am now even more proud to be a part of Donlen knowing that the best practices and approaches we follow align so well with and go beyond industry standards."

In order to become certified, participants in NAFA’s CAFM program must pass a series of comprehensive exams to demonstrate their expertise in eight different aspects of fleet management within a three-year period: Fleet Information Management, Maintenance Management, Vehicle Fuel Management, Asset Management, Business Management, Financial Management, Risk Management, and Professional Development.

"With this certification, I can better talk the fleet language of our customers, better understand the industry challenges and opportunities ahead, and am better prepared to use the vast amount of data available to help customers make data-driven strategic decisions," said Wuich.
