NAFA’s 2018 I&E in the Rearview Mirror

This time last month, we were kicking off NAFA’s 2018 I&E. Now another eventful I&E has come and gone, but just in case you missed it, we want to give you a recap of our busy week at NAFA!

Our team at NAFA had an action-packed week, with John Korte, Donlen VP, mobility business development, speaking at the International Fleet Academy mobility pre-conference, many educational sessions hosted by our experts and customer partners, more demos of our innovative fleet technology at our booth than ever before, and of course, our best after party event yet, Donlen’s ′90s Palooza!

If you joined us for any of those activities, we thank you. You made our week at NAFA’s 2018 I&E one for the record books! If you weren’t able to make it this year, here’s what you missed!

International Fleet Academy: Mobility Pre-Conference

John Korte, Donlen’s VP, mobility business development, was joined by several mobility experts in the fleet industry for this year’s International Fleet Academy pre-conference, which focused on emerging mobility trends. The IFA Mobility Pre-Conference was a day-long event featuring several educational sessions and lively discussions regarding the impact of mobility on the fleet industry.

Korte presented during the Arming Yourself for the Mobility as a Service Revolution session, and outlined our predictions what the shit to mobility will look like for the industry, and what fleet professionals can start doing now to prepare.

Korte was also a panelist on the “Lessons Learned: Fleet Managers Discuss Their Journeys Along the Mobility Continuum,” panel discussion, and was joined by other mobility experts in the industry. During this panel, the speakers fielded questions from the audience in an engaging dialogue about how fleet managers can prepare their fleets for new mobility solutions.

Fleet education sessions presented by Donlen experts

Outside of the IFA Mobility Pre-Conference, during this year’s conference, Donlen’s experts and customer partners presented on several other standing-room only educational sessions. Tom Sloan, VP, project management at Donlen presented the “Making Fleet Safety Part of Your Culture and Your Strategic Plan” session alongside two of our valued customer partners on Tuesday, April 24.

Also on Tuesday, Korte took the stage to talk mobility once during the “The ‘M’ Word – Does Mobility Replace Fleet?” educational session. Korte was joined by other industry experts to discuss how mobility will impact the fleet industry.

Our final session on Tuesday, “Optimize Operations: Right Resource, Right Time, Right Place,” was moderated by Carlos Oropeza, director of marketing at Donlen, and featured Cindy Gomez, Donlen VP, vehicle acquisitions and Scott Underhill, Donlen director of business intelligence as presenters.

Donlen experts also presented one session on Wednesday, April 25: “How Low Can You Go? How to Further Reduce Your TCO.” This session featured John Wuich, CAFM, Donlen VP, business analytics, and one of our valued customer partners. The two provided many actionable tips to help fleet professionals reduce their fleet’s total cost of ownership.

Lastly, to close out a week chock-full of informational sessions and actionable tips, Wuich presented the “Excelling as the Strategic Fleet Manager” session with two of our customer partners on Thursday, April 26. Our customers offered tips to help fleet professionals be more strategic and less tactical in their operations.

Eyes on the road ahead

Because our eyes are on the road ahead, this year we brought more innovative fleet management technology than ever before for fleet professionals to experience on the show floor. While the show floor was open on Wednesday and Thursday fleet professionals had the chance to take our powerful, predictive, prescriptive technology for a spin.

We were offering demonstrations of not one, not two, but seven fleet technology solutions at our booth, including the Donlen Risk Center, Recall inSIGHT™, the FleetWeb™ Intelligence Visualization Suite, DriverPoint® Telematics, our Vehicle Optimization Model®, mobile apps, and iVic.

The Donlen Risk Center is the only fleet management industry that offers an unmatched, aggregated, real-time view of vehicle data and driver behavior from one provider in order to help fleet managers get their drivers home safely.

One of our latest solutions, Recall inSIGHT, provides customers with detailed recall information that empowers them to improve recall completion rates and times for their fleets.

Our FleetWeb Intelligence Visualization Suite is a business intelligence tool that features powerful, actionable visual dashboards that help fleet professionals improve fleet performance.

DriverPoint Telematics is Donlen’s comprehensive, proprietary telematics solution, and this year we demonstrated new features such as OnStar telematics integration and Crash Detection alerts.

Our Vehicle Optimization Model (VOM) is a powerful, predictive tool for fleet vehicle selection and cycling options.

Donlen’s mobile apps, FleetWeb® Mobile and DonlenDriver® Mobile, were available for fleet professionals to get firsthand experience with our apps, including the latest updates to DonlenDriver Mobile, such as DriverPoint Telematics functionality within the app.

Attendees got a sneak preview of our brand new solution, iVic, Donlen’s new interactive vehicle information tool. iVic provides users with an easy, dynamic way to access all fleet data for vehicles and drivers through a universal platform that offers real-time, high-quality information.

If you missed this year’s conference and are interested in viewing a demo of any of these solutions, don’t hesitate to contact us!

Donlen’s 90s Palooza

It was a busy day on the show floor on Wednesday, but when the show floor closed the party was just getting started! We hosted our Donlen’s ’90s Palooza concert event on April 25 at the Anaheim House of Blues, and fleet professionals in attendance enjoyed all of their favorite ’90s jams played by Chicago-native ’90s tribute band, Nerdvana. Fun was had by all at this year’s most-talked-about event.

nnnnnn

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the IFA Mobility Pre-Conference, attended our educational sessions, visited us at our booth, and partied with us at our ’90s Palooza event. We can’t wait to do it all again next year at NAFA’s 2019 I&E!
